............ design question!

hi guys, its hard to resist .The darkside is becoming more and more powerful these days, but i want to fight back :bad:

so i want to learn the right way and fight these 2 evil guys : i-frame and frames

i would like to know ,if there are any other possibilities to make a clean pure html side, that has one navigation and content box ( please have a look at my attachment, hope it makes sense) . what i want to achieve the best way is ,everytime i click on a link or a sub link the content has to show another html formated file or another content, i dont want to use the copy 3pixel line trick as shown in the attachment cause the page would go down and you have to scroll with the browser , i would like to have a scrollable contentbox, that is filled with the content of link 1,2,3 (and that can show normal html ):book:

hope this makes sense:geek: :pleased:

if you don't mind me asking, why do you specifically want the content box to scroll? why not the whole page scroll?

hi no problem ;-) , i would like a fixed size of the homepage like i.e. 700x400

perhaps im thinkin to complex on this :cons: , do you have another idea of achieving this, my main objective is to make a clean code or better script for it ,perhaps i do not need it :stunned: , i would like to change my homepage it uses this evil iframe (shame on me:jail: :pir: ) and i would like to make a flash one and a clean html one

You can do that layout you show as valid XHTML/ CSS. It isn't easy, but if it was easy there would be no money in webdesign.

Mostly it seems like you just need a lesson in table-free CSS.
