hhhmmm....not really diggin that. Looks very old school. At this point I really dont have recommendations for this particular layout. I do like the direction of the second header style. And why is there 2 headers anyways??

Hey Plastic Fork, I'm not diggin this one either. I think you need to put more time into it and then post back.
Like DDD said, it's too rough to really offer any suggestions.

Well, why does it say World's Largest Forum twice?

Alright... you guys are brutal!!! I'll be a bit nicer!! ;)
I think if you made things less clunky looking, you'd be in business. I would use smaller fonts and just go with a "silver" and "white" look and feel.
Make the fonts aliased (not smooth looking) at maybe a verdana size 9. Give the header backgrounds a very subtle light-grey to white gradient with dark gray font on top.
The blue doesn't work for me either... again go with a clean white and light gray look. What i think adds alot to any page are pixel icons. Maybe draw a little page icon with a pencil for posts, etc. The kirupa-style icons are nice.
The remaining portion of the table should also probably be a bit smaller in height. I think when you make the font smaller, it would make sense to also reduce the height of the cells.
Again, making the font not-smooth (turn off anti-aliasing / smoothing) make things look crisper, and smaller fonts are nicer to look at.
Just my 2 cents worth!
Good luck,
Kevin :geek:

It wasn't my intention to be brutal P-fork. I hope I didn't offend you.
I just meant that you need a couple more hours of work on it before getting a crit.

Okay this is off topic, but, how long do you think you should spend on this to get a good layout Fork? I'm an advanced photoshopper and I'd give this at least 2 hours of good work time. When I was starting out I'd spend days on something like this.
Anyways, I hope to see some more stuff.

:gas: no way
maybe you should look around at forums such as kirupa and other well designed forums.
