possible flash or java fix? Help!

I have an audio player in HTML. its in a flash object that reloads as a header as you nav through the site. If you turn the music off, it comes back on when you nav through the site. is there any way to make it recognize if it is off to stay off?

if you want to save state between sessions in a browser with flash have a look at the shared object class.....
