Hi
I'm developing a new portfolio site and would welcome any critique going.
At the moment the site looks a little flat to me - any ideas on lifting it without resorting to a total re-design would be great.

I do believe it looks a bit flat as well. I think the choice of using an orange background and an orange images tends to make the image flat..if there was a different colored image, it would make it pop a bit more. Also, the navigation is kind of boring, it just blends in with the page....it just looks like standard text navigation. It's a great start though.

If you used more black to pop the orange out that would help...you have to use dark colors or colors that compliment the other in order to "pop" something...I think the site itself is an alright start though. You have enough content to work with, possibly try a different nav scheme and buttons etc. Smaller isn't always better...

If you want to bring it a little more to life, add some music. Also maybe add some kind of background animation so it does not look so flat as you said. I have to say though i really can't think of anythink else and keep up the good work. Your site is going down as one of my bookmarks Good job.

Don't add the music it really isn't needed...unless it's a very very light ambient music possibly...but i dont even know if that would add or detract from your site at this point in time...
