Looking good indeed, I'd personally try and make the distortion gradient a little more subtle, it's got quite a jagged edge at the moment.

This displacement stuff is great fun eh?

No, it uses the BitmapData, DisplacementMapFilter, Point and Rectangle classes which are only available in Flash 8.
