degrees, how much that would be in degrees?

reverendflash

it is in degrees... 80-83 degrees Farenheit (the original temp scale).

We use F scale for the same reason we use feet and yards/miles... because we have used this system for hundreds of years, and see no reason to change, just because Europe decides to be different.

Just do the same thing we do, when you guys give us celcius... convert it.

Lynx

ok here's the deal :) I dont know how to convert it, so just tell me this:

0 celsius = ??? F

15 celsius = ??? F

30 celsius = ??? F

Soul

0 celsius = 100 F
15 celsius = 250 F
30 celsius = 500 F

C = (5 / 9) * (F - 32)

F = ((9 / 5) * C) + 32;

Hey, we can't help it if everyone else changes their systems...

So you guys are the weird ones...

Just like Netscape invented JavaScript, IE "adapted" it...

Americans don't use metric and they drive on the right side of the road because in the early days of the independence, Americans sought to differentiate themselves as much as they could from the British.
So if they do things ***-backwards, it's because they hate you.. hehe.

Lynx
April 14th, 2003, 06:31 PM
Hey, we drive on the right side of the road, but we use metric... actually I dunno what I wanted to say...

was Britain using the metric system then? I thought it came into use in the 20th Century...

Revhttp://www.aulman.com/rev.gif

lava
April 14th, 2003, 06:45 PM
they used metric for other things... I think. Let me research this, I'll get back to you.

reverendflash
April 14th, 2003, 07:09 PM
cool, I was too lazy to check it out...

Revhttp://www.aulman.com/rev.gif

lava
April 14th, 2003, 07:18 PM
yeah, me too... I know that the thing about the right side of the road thing is definitely true, but I couldn't find anything about metric. Might have been a history teacher blowing smoke up my butt..

the rest of Europe drives on the right side of the road. That is because most of europe was conquered by France under napoleon, and napolion didn't like british ways.

The only reason I ask, is because I hear British TV talk in feet and inches all the time (Changing Rooms, and Ground Force)...

So I assumed that Britain changed sometime in the 20th Century, prob about the same time they changed their currency...
