Lets say, "Hypothetically" :puzzle: you have about 650 images all a consistant size. Whats the best way to crop and apply minimal effects to each and every one as efficiently as possible.

in photoshop you can record a action and have it do the same thing to every picture in a folder, automaticly. is that what your looking for?

i'm pretty shure, if not you could just hit ctrl + a and select all the ones inside the folder right?

Yes, it should be under File>Automate>Batch.

It's hazardous for beginners, so I recommend setting up a temp folder with 10 images for instance and working from there... (if you don't set things properly images/folder can be overwritten - all files will save to a single one over and over - your save options will be random etc...)

Is there a reason for why my photoshop doesnt actually SAVE the files anywhere? I didnt put a save as action within my action set, but I have the automator set up to save the files as 01, 02 etc..
Any ideas? It was working yesterday?

told ya it had a mind of its own sometimes =).

Somtimes the batch process will save all the files processed to a single file name (makes the batch process quite useless). Or sometimes it will prompt you for save options (most often for JPGs). Make sure you have a folder ready to receive the files (and make sure that folder is not inside the folder your trying to process).

What you can try to do is make a copy of your folder and tick the 'save and close' option in the batch window of Photoshop.

I use it quite often and believe me it's still trial and error for me =)
