I'm using sound forge to cut down a song ito a loop. THe problem is when i get the loop right and save sound forge adds 1-2sec of no sound in front of the loop. anybody know how to stop it from adding in the extra sound?

Hmmm, I don't think I've ever experienced this? Anyhting in the helpfiles? Does it add blank in between the songs? Or just at the start?

what format are you saving in? i have mucho experience with this program...if you are saving to normal .wav or .mp3 to my knowledge this does not occur...
what format are you using?

I was taking an mp3 and saving it as an mp3. It would always add a slight gap at the end or begining (cannot remember off hand)
Very annoying!

I'm trying to make a seamless loop. i cut it down and get it perfect so it loops seamlessly. I save it as an mp3 and when i re open it ther is a little bit of silence added to the start and the end of the loop. I can't find a setting for this anywhere. Does that explain it a little better.

if it's in flash that the gap happens, it's a known bug of sorts.
Render the loop region as a .wav, and then import it into flash, it
will work perfectly then.
Also, you can do the same editting in Acid Pro.
