in Flash 5, you need to adjust your publish settings.

reverendflash thanx,
I went to publish settings but there wasn't anything I could see that would increase the image quality bit depth will go no higher than 24...
optimize colors is on smoothing is on..need my gradients no dither..
the palet type is only 216... can't see anyway to increase that
and I am not using any filter options....

http://aulman.com/5.gif adjust your jpeg settings here. Also make sure you are publishing on high quality.

What helped me with that prob was, leave 10px space at the borders of the pic you import. And then when you place it in flash, leave no decimals..... Then it should work fine

I tweaked as much with the settings as possible b ut not getting the quality I want. C!rYx, I don't know what you mean about decimals....
is there something I should do in photoshop prior to import.... also I noticed that even at 100% quality in flash.. jpgs are still aliasing in test mode...
