now to your question. perfect character animation? whats your definition of perfect?.. your asking a very broad question in a very artistic field of style. You can search the boards to find the style you are regarding and quite possibly might find some tutorial links when you search ;)

As much as online content rocks, I REALLY recommend this book: The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0571202284/102-0227465-2810571?v=glance&n=283155

it will teach you the basics, the flow, characterization & more.

Another book I would recommend is Cartoon Animation by Preston Blair:

Oh and looking at people/animals doing things is a must... I gotta say you have to be pretty good at sketching if you want to move on to animation =) 1

nice animation dark.......are you doing traditional cell animation or looking for some kinda IK setup? I use toonboom solo at work and it is pretty great. We bumped from regular toonboom. Also the books recommended are the bomb and you should invest in those.
