View Full Version : Movement like xbox's menu?

Hey. I was looking for my game for xbox when i saw the menu moving slowly side to side. It was a totally random movement, but it was restricted. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm just now starting to pick up actionscript, and it would be a cool thing to add. Thanks, -Naaman

I cant find anything that shows what I'm describing :(

The best way i can describe it in words is "slow-swaying motion".

I dont know if that helps..

Nah, not on they're site. I was looking for my game for my xbox, and then I looked up and saw the xbox menu. It was swaying and I was thinking that it would be a cool effect to throw in my site.

You mean the Xbox's Dashboard?

Hmm, I guess you could call it the dashboard. It's what pops up when you dont have a game in there. it has the settings, music and whatnot on it.

A few questions:
Specifically which part of the menu. Are you talking about the background animation that looks like your going through some tunnel or are you talking about the way the selection tabs move up and down along with the sound that it makes?

Then , if you are talking about the menu tabs, how would your web users navigate so that it has the same movement?

You mentioned that the motion was random. Doesn't, on idle, the xbox menu just goes up or down (shuffles) and then the screen fades darker? Or are you talking about something else?

I'm talking about the way it goes up and down, or shuffles. I would be a cool effect throw in.
