I was thinking it's time for another photography battle. Anyone interested?
How does a holiday theme sound, since that's what we're headed into right now (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, New Years, etc).
The rules would be something like this (open to suggestions, as always):
Rules
Theme: The Holidays
Picture Type: Digital, Scanned, or Photo CD (or pretty much anything else you can think of)
Editing: Only minor adjustments may be made using photo editing software. Levels, Brightness/Contrast, and cropping are allowed.
Participants: Anyone
Entry Date: All entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm CST on Sunday, January 8, 2006
Please post in this thread if you're interested in participating. Or if you have any comments or suggestions about the battle.

you can still capture good photos with 4 megapixel :)
I used to do good photography using a 2megapixel camera.
Its all about the technique not the type of camera
well.. maybe a bit of the camera but alot of it is technique too

Yea you can still do quite a bit w/ that man... you can still capture some nice macro shots ;)

Yeah, 4 Megapixels should be sufficient; I have to size down all of my pictures anyway.
You going to join this one simp?
Edit: If you feel like it's a disadvantage though, you could always shoot film =)

Hmm, this is going to be harder than I thought; lights are tricky.. I just took a bunch of pictures to get the creative juices flowing, I have some good ones.. but the lights make them tough to get looking good. Either the lights in the background look good or the foreground object looks good. In like 100 pictures, I only got about 3 or 4 that look decent.
On the bright side, I got a ghetto studio light and a ghetto tripod out of the shoot =) (the tripod is a dice and two toothpicks, and the light is a flashlight, some paper and a rubber band) :P

Post away, but keep in mind you have until the 9th to submit. Once you submit, that's it; you're done. So be sure you're sure of the photo you submit ;)

I have never participated in one of the photography battles. I am not sure what to do. Do I have to take my own picture and then edit it in PS/FW/ETC myself?
Ψ
December 22nd, 2005, 07:06 PM
mulitple submissions are allowed or only one submission?
sorry for asking too many questions

No, actually. I took that picture a few weeks ago, but I didn't select, crop, and post it until my last post in this thread. We took our decorations down a day or two before 2005 ended.
