Hello all!

I have a question -- I'm looking into scanners as I'm planning to do
somewhat of a graphic novel for a grad project next year. Ergo, a
lot of scanning will need to be done. I have a beat up Epson something
right now, but I'm just wondering -- what's the best brand/model/whatever
for illustrative work? It seems that everything is tailored towards
scanning photos. And I'm not going to ask those idiots at Future Shop...

Thanks! Please respond with whatever info you have.

:rambo:

Thanks again,
Mark(decisionman)

I think just about any scanner will do....I have been using my HP 5470 for years now. I really like HP scanners. Unless you need an auto feed one, or OCR one.

naughty naughty cross-poster...

like DDD said, i don't think it really matters what kind you get. Nowadays they're all such high res you don't need to worry about that, and i assume it's gonna be black and white illustrations so there's no color issues either.

If it is color, i still don't think it's a big deal because you can just do batch adjustments to color-correct them. They'll all scan in the same, so you'd just need to find the corrections needed for your particular scanner.
