As the titles explains , looking to see if there are keyboard shortcuts to shuffle through Photoshop (cs2) layer comps.. i like to have my screen in full screen mode then hide all windows so to show head designers/clients the artwork in all its glory... but for variations i need to show the top bar to go through the layer comps which is annoying.
any ideas?

Alt+[ ==== select layer below
Alt+] ==== select layer above
Alt+< ==== select most bottom layer
Alt+> ==== select most top layer
Ctrl+Shift+N == make new layer
Alt+Shift+Down arrow == Duplicate layer
These are most common shortcuts I use.

but if you go into full screen mode it hides the dock area and even if i tear it off i still want to hide all the windows and just be able to switch comps via a keyboard shortcut. gotta be something there.

well after talkin to ya very briefly on MSN. your problem is when you're in fullscreen mode... in which case yes... you can assign a custom keyboard shortcut, to bring up the layer comp palette, but you can't do it to make it go back and forth through it. Goto Keyboard Shortcuts which is CMD+Option+Shift+K on Mac (CTRL+ALT+Shift+K), or Edit>Keyboard somethin or other. Under Window you can apply the keyboard shortcut so that the palette will appear in fullscreen and disappear as well. I seem to think I actually disabled mine a while ago cause it was interfering with a system command I had, so I think it's something by default.

call me crazy but why not just press 'tab?' oh and make sure that you have window/show options selected any tabs you have in your docking area will be available. of course I am sure you already knew that. (but we all miss the simple things)

CRAZY!
The only problem w/ this is that it'll bring up all active palettes... by using C-keys you can bring specific things up by itself and not by a group. And of course I'm sure he knew, because to get full screen you have to press Tab ;)

but of course!...hey I got it...buy another monitor!Yea... that's it... lets spend unneccessary money when all you really have to do is modify some buttons at the expense of a program you already had... :P :td: $$ - no$$ tough call there

^^ haha, yeah actually a second monitor is on the way here at work, just at the moment using one 19 and its kinda annoying at the moment trying to present work in the method i would like but not be able to go through my layer comps via keyboard shortcut, so i guess stuff it, like you said simp, i will just make a shortcut for the palette and click the style and hide it again, i would think adobe would of had a slideshow kinda style to go through the layer comps because the tool is basically created for showing people different layouts.. hmm actually maybe bridge can do it?...:book:

ok...then it maybe annoying but put your comps in folders and just cycle through those...

more over you could figure out the order in which you want to show your comps and then just send the top comp to the bottom. (so it's hidden, have a copy of the back bround above the true background layer) make sense?...

make sense? no.. :look: , lol..
Not sure if your on the right page here dude, layer comps... as in saving position and elements in different layouts, not layer folders.(groups).

Alt+Shift+Down arrow == Duplicate layer
CTRL+J is easier ;)
That's all I have to contribute to this conversation...
