Hello all!

I have a question... I know this has probably been addressed, but (as many others) my Illustrator CS (can't afford CS2 at the moment) often opens with "Could not complete the following operation" or something to that extent. I've kinda fixed the problem, but along the way I read that "problem fonts" could be a key component.

So, my question: Is there a program / service out there (hopefully free) that could scan my computer for "problem" fonts? Just wondering if anyone has some magical cureall software...

Thanks a bunch! PS - Here's my first Pixel Art Image! Pixel Art is fun!

I APOLOGIZE IF THAT MESSAGE WAS TOO SMALL.

Moved this to drawing and design, please dont post these threads in random.. also usually font threads are closed automatically but considering this is a technical question i will leave it open.

I have enoucounted the application error on startup as well a few many times for CS and less if not ever for CS2. A font application you seek does not come to mind but you can give google a go or check the font sticky at the top of the main drawing and design thread.

oh and what the.. are you talking about at the bottom of your post?

If it is a corrupt font, it will give you those errors if you're not using a font manager. Font managers automatically sorta negate those errors. The most common ones are

Suitcase & Font Reserve www.extensis.com
ATM - Adobe Type Manager www.adobe.com
FontXplorer - www.linotype.com/fontexplorerX <----- this is the only free one outta the list

Check those out see if it helps.
