Hey all,
i have been designing websites for about 7 years now and have normally hid away from the wonderful world of flash however you guys here have given me what i need to go ahead.
I am currently designing a new site in flash for my new media company "Initial Media" and would like some critics etc to just view what i have at the moment and give me some pointers on what they would like to see etc or if the design is too bland blah blah.
You get the point so please critic away.
Not much done at the moment but the transitions are there
P.s: this is my first ever try at a flash site

the only thing i would do was when you hover over the buttons the name comes up somewhere.
Other than that i wouldnt change a thing looks totally cool like it is.

Spice up your graphics a bit, they seem too simplistic, the frames could use those glow effects you used with the buttons. I agree with ancora about maybe labling the buttons in some way.

I love the design. Very different from what I have seen lately. The only thing I'd rather see is for your nav, get rid of the highlights and just make it flat color like the rest of your site. Other than that, get some content in there so we can do a better critique and don't forget preloaders.

Thx boondock gonna try what you said. preloaders are already in place ready to spring in but at the moment the file size is quite small :)

Mystery meat navigation is a big no-no. (basicly, where you dont know where your going, or what you're clicking on) The design itself is great, but OH MY GOSH, you almost damn blinded me! What is up with the white flash when the page loads? It really hurts my eyes!
Overall, its looking very nice! It reminds me of Ben Kobe's work (thats a good thing, IMO) :thumb:

echoing applejelly's comments,
I almost had a seizure with those white flashes ;). Cool design though.

Give the page a title. ;) Very nice colors. The text is small and hard to read. The "Initial Media" on the left doesn't seem to match the rest of the site. The color on media is off (maybe make it the same red color you have on the site?) and the font, drop shadow, etc. don't match. Nice transitions though! I would also recommend making your preloader match the rest of the site as well. Add colors, font, etc. Hmmm, contact us and about us seem to have different fonts? Also, some links to projects would help the site out a lot.
Okay, that's enough for the moment eh? Very nice site! Keep up the good work! :thumb:

um..
suggestion.. design the site in photoshop and then move to flash. it will allow you to open up the world of potential as far as your design goes. vector flash sites were huge in the 90s but not really living now.
