Hey, this is just an idea... kirupa should put up a "famous footers" section... that way we could bring back and admire the footers we all love, like Lost's old one...

Well... so far the only ones that I would vote in are lost's and mariofan's... It'd depend on how selective you guys are..

Im not too fond of the idea. I am glad everyone wants to see my old footer and all, but to create an archive of the "best" footers, store them all on Kirupas server, and use up his bandwidth... it just doesn't make that much sense to me :-\

Besides, he's got enough stuff going on in his life, he shouldn't have to worry about managing a whole new section of footers.

so why not just start a page like sintax321 did for pixelpeople, but
put footers on it? I'm sure people would give em up if you post
and host em yourself.

sorta got killed with the 'no more flash footers'...

I think we had quite big threads with people posting their old footers, I know I did last year.

Um this thread is from 2003, it didn't get killed because of the no flash footers rule. I guess it was just forgotten about in lieu of the original footer contest.

I still keep a history of all my footers/avatars here

I meant 'sorta got useless' after the no more flash footers thingy... As 99% of our footers were flash... The thread is probably there somewhere.
