Does anyone know how to create a traced image effect like the flowers in the first few images at this page http://www.electricheat.org/ ?
I have several techniques I use in photoshop (Poster Edges, Find Edges, etc) but none of them achieve such a clean look. Outside of tracing the images of flowers by hand in Illustrator, is there any other way to get this effect?
Thanks much,
Haig

Looks to me like they're hand drawn with pencil and paper and scanned in. That is the best way to do it.

Illustrator paths... Photoshop paths... I HIGHLY doubt that those are done w/ a filter. Just open up a canvas select a solid brush and start drawing. Put a little elbow grease into it, filters aren't a solve all (for that matter most need to be gotten rid of)

Just take some normal pictures of flowers, remove the background and color, Alt -> Filters -> Stylize -> Find Edges. Remove any unecessary edges (such created by different saturation values.
If you need it bolder just use Glowin edges, and recalibrate the colors.
