Some friends of mine are putting out a demo album so they asked me if I could make a cover. They're a surf band so I've drawn them surfing. In suits. Tell me what you think! :mu:
Here's the cover along with the back cover also. You can see the back cover was done rather quickly but I still like it because of its simplicity.

the front looks really nice. the back is ok too, but you can tell it was done quickly. I think it would look nice if the spine was coloured, maybe that 'coral' kind of pink.
and for the back, while it isn't bad as is, i reckon if you did have time to make the chimp's line weight vary like the front illustration, and also make the clouds a bit more vectory as opposed to being painted, it'd look a bit more unified.
but it's sweet, i'd be happy to have a cover like that.

Ditch the serif font for the back cover and make it not-black, otherwise its pretty good. Howd you make the wave on the cover?

Thanks for the input guys! Yeah, if I had time I think I would have made the chimp's line width vary like the front picture. Actually trying it out right now and it does look a bit more better and uniformed.
The wave was pretty fun to do, I just colored the surface blue then I used a brush (the smudgy one) and set the flow to like 2% and put on lighter and darker tones in strokes that follow the shape. I just used a brush for the foam.
