I am looking for a webhost and was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback on your experiences with different ones. I've found Racknine (http://www.racknine.com) and was wondering if anyone has had previous experience with them and their reliability. I am looking for at least 100mb of space, 5 gig of bandwith/mo, php and at least 1 sql database for somewhere between $10-15. If you guys have any hosts you would personally reccomend it would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to ask Kirupa himself about Racknine, I believe that he has used them in the past so would be able to tell you exactly what you need to know. :)

dr2.net is incredible. for $20 a year now (sometimes they have holiday or special discounts during the year) you get 4 gig of data transfer and 100mb of space. along with unlimited email forwarding, ftp accounts, you name it, php support, the works.
soul, mdipi, and i all use it.

there is also www.ipowerweb.net they have a good service for 7-8 a month.
a lot of people here seem to be happy with dr2.net as well, but I don't know if I trust them... it just seems too good to be true... there has to be some hidden catch...

I use 4D Web Hosting here (http://www.4dwebhosting.com/index.php?ref=michael.skehin@btopenworld.com)
For $4.95 a month you get all you asked for. They seem pretty reliable, the only hitch was that it took a while to get the domain name up and the emails, so I asked them about it and they got back to me straight away.
You also get unlimited pop3 emails.
They're quite fair as well, so if you sign up for 5GB of bandwidth and you us 5.0001, they don't mind (your account won't be terminated.)

sometimes the catch doesn't rear its ugly head for a while. I like my host, so I will stick with paying the extra 60 a year. :)

True enough. But I guess as long as it works great for me and stays cheap - I will stick with it.
Your host sounds like a great deal as well and really - 60 bucks isnt that much over the course of a year...
