Ok, didn't know if this had been posted or not, but if not then here is a great site! The bounce and smoothness of the transitions are just amazing. Thought I'd share.

I've been wondering about sites like this. Is it because there's so little graphics that they look like they have such a high framerate?

From the moment you add some gradients, shadows, blur, alpha to a flash website, it all starts to get choppy :diss: .

Ok so are you bitter or something? I just posted to because I thought it was pretty nice...and you didn't really say anything about the site?

There are nice shadows and some nice effects in here, along with some nice images in the portfolio. So I don't see where the "choppy" comes into play?

Rasper wasn't making bad comments about the site, just commenting on how smooth it is compared to sites which are bitmap and effect heavy

Yeah yeah, of course it's nice and all. I've seen it before though. It got an award somewhere.

I was only wondering about those smooth animations. Because they never are so smooth in my projects ;)

wowo, that is very nice. i love this minimal clean style. reminds me of 72mhz.de and others.

...and somehow they've choosen a purple that isn't gross. or is that more of a hot mauve?

Not to distract from this very nice, smooth and well designed site, but...

I don't think that's a 'kool' site, It's just the long url that I'm pointing out.

Flash now has Tweening Classes and that would do this quite well.

Just search for Tween Class in the Flash help. It would use elastic tweening.

Personally I'm not a fan of the elastic tweening or vomit purple, but its a tight sight none-the-less.

How to make a smooth site:

Make a site whose interface is 3 lines :beam:

I like the fluid feel of the whole site... including the picture transitions in the photo albums.

The odd thing about it to me is the use of fluidity to depict a business that is traditionally rigid and structured. It's a nice juxtaposition... I wonder if it was intentional.

yea, it seems like the site owners are really going for the laid-back cool designer people image. but all in all i think the site is great. and for those with chopy animations, i am sure that the framerate on this site is extremely high probably somewhere around 60 or so... but as long as you have a preloader that loads the entire site, i dont see why it wouldnt work for everyone?
