Photoshop users - CD Design Battle

I love to walk through the local music store and look at all of the CD jewel case designs. So, I thought it would be fun to try it out:

Artist/band name: [insert favorit band here]
Album name: [insert album name here]

Specs:

Width: 5.5 inches
Height: 4.5 inches

Anybody interested?

CD label dimensions are roughly, circular with:
inner diameter of 1 5/8"
outer diameter of 4 5/8"

or about 1.5 and 4.5 inches which is about 1.5 all around:

I'm thinking any progys. No animation though. Tomorrow I can get more exact specs for the sizes, including jewel cases and CDs. I can even whip up some templates. :)

Oh and length... I suppose a mod could decide that, but I dont think we need much more than say a week.

wicked, count me in! :+) yeah i think that jewel case design would be a better idea....

but, if we were to design the actual cd, then someone should whip up a template so that we can all work off the same base.

thanx law, i grabbed a cd cover and measured it anyway.... something like 13.8 cm wide and high

Thing: CD Jewel case design contest. Use the template provided in a previous post. Design the front and the back of the album. Front cover must have the album name and the band name somewhere obvious, back must have the track titles. You can make your own bands and/or tracks up, but please have atleast 10 tracks.

Due: April 19? I dont know.

Na, its the same thing. When you go buy a music CD, it comes in a jewel case. Dunno why they call it that.
