NBC Universal Cable drives strategic development for the video-on-demand, pay-per-view, HDTV, and retransmission consent. We oversee the cable distribution, marketing, and local ad sales of Bravo, Bravo HD+, CNBC, CNBC World, MSNBC, mun2, SCI-FI, ShopNBC, Telemundo, TRIO, USA Network, and the Olympics on cable. In this newly created opportunity in our Interactive Department, you will work with a team of top designers, editors and project managers to create Flash sites and sections within the networks web site.
Responsibilities:
Create interactive sites, features, presentations, and marketing materials using Macromedia Flash
Work with the editorial and design teams to adapt on-air/print marketing materials and create compelling new content
Lead research efforts and champion new technologies
Participate in brainstorming for site development
Program complex Flash web sites that work in conjunction with database and other server-side functions
Qualifications:
At least three years of ActionScript programming experience
A flair for visual design
Expertise in XML-driven dynamic Flash sites
Experience integrating Flash with PHP and other scripting languages
Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator
Flash animation, video and design knowledge and expertise
Expertise in HTML, DHTML, server side scripting and applications, databases, video compression, etc.
Additional programming experience a plus
