it's not a bad concept..
i think you need to work on design, though.
it looks like you're wanting to do something like www.otterball.com or www.24-7media.de or even www.sofake.com .. those 3 offer interesting story type designs..

Thank you for the critique. I know I should work on design. He happens to be happy with it but ... I'm not. I just know it could be better....

Here is some inspiration for you to shoot for. (I would never settle just for what the client likes, I'd try and make it something that you would love to be able to show the next client...and to be honest I wouldn't show that to any clients on the next go around.) Anyways here is the inspiration...
