Hey guys. I've been working hard and am almost ready to launch my latest site. It's a business/promotion site that is run by the Milwaukee company I work for, www.dp3marketing.com, so don't ask too much about the details. What I'm asking for is

- Readability

- Accessibilty (let me know if there are any quirks with the browser you are using)

- The little things like design mishaps here and there

So here's the URL:

http://www.cashbackevents.com

Let me know what you guys think. I'll be submitting it to various design sites when it's live in a week or two. Thanks!

P.S. This is my first ever database driven site, and I'm pretty proud of it.

I'm sorry Kris, but the design is lacking interest IMO. But that doesn't mean it's not a well structured site or anything. But if you are looking to keep my attention, I need a bit more from the site than just Style sheets etc. (not that my attention is anything you need to require.)

readability && accessability is great very easy to read. The design is basic (not in a bad way) and bold I think it looks good BUT with only the one color used I think it kind of makes the site look duller than it could be.

Accessability is good, but to improve perhaps you could make those boxes rounded? Also try to tighten the site up a bit, reduce the font size, its quite a long site.

ditto to everything said, it's just bad graphically... it's supposed to be promoting something but if you can't promote yourself... what's to be lead ppl to believe you can promote them. as said b4 this is one of the problems w/ CSS, xHTML focused sites is that ppl worry so much about the functionality that they don't think to much into the design of it, or the impact it will make. it was more so like this a yr or so ago, and even earlier in this yr, and it's improving greatly. and just outta curiousity... what exactly does the db drive?

The signup form goes directly into a SQL database, then the browse businesses are pulled based on the category. It might be novice, but its the first I've ever done.

Hehe... no no... I just wanted to know, it's more than I've done w/ a DB. I outsource all my DB stuff  and actually i didn't even see the browse businesses link ;) :pleased:

no label tags in your form dude - hence site not really accesible - only a minor point and the only thing i checked.. so there may be a few more...

a lot better, I think though that the colour scheme used (goes well together) but I don't think that its maybe the colors associated with a "vibrant booking/promotion" team. Off first glance I think the color scheme portrays a dullness about it and ultimatley it relfects on you as individuals. Apart from that I think it ok.

Well from what I can remember of the last one... this is an improvement... layout wise... but I still think the color scheme is lacking. Makes me want to go dance in the rain, while watching "The Sound of Music" more than go partying.

It's better, but very very BLAND...any ideas on how to liven it up a bit? and why is it off center?
