Trend Whore

ok... a trend whore is someone who bases their designs on effects achieved through tutorials, and those effects are ussually popular for a very short time... right?

I know this is a drawing and art forum, so I'm requesting case samples of what a trend whore site would be, and what an original site would be.

i would say that http://www.2advanced.com/archive/v3/flashindex.htm is probably the definition of trendwh0re... they're the ones that everyone oohed and aaahed about, so they all started to copy :P
maybe version 2 is even more so... i can't decide!

but there's different types of trend as well, that's just the techy type...
