hi,

take first the FLA from here (http://www.flashmedia.mxhost.ro/forum.fla)
can anyone tell me how is made this cool fading effect ?...
i know flash a little but i don't see an advanced color setting over the image.

is there a frame setup to make the picture go so white and the normal?
can i make other effects based on this one?

strange to me...

First click on your first frame and put ur picture in it convert it into a graphic symbol then click frame 20 then click on ur picture open properties then go where it says color go down to advanced now make these for the settings
then go to like frame 7 or something right click it and create motion tween

try changin the brightness i think it will give a good fading effect i don't think it will make an efect like the fla because i don't understand it but i think you should try the brightness if it gives the same effect then tell me if it doesn't tell for i could check again ok!

Well my friend fork did tell you how it was done, select the image and in the color tab select advanced you will see the settings fork posted, why is the color tab selected as none is what i dont comprehend but it is an fact an advanced color effect.

Thats how it was done, now go to the first frame and with select advanced again you will see the rgb settings are set to 0 the same goes for the last frame.

Now I think you owe fork and apology ;)

guys i know very well how color advanced settings work in flash.
plastic fork i'm sorry but i still don't understand

it's just that in the frame of transition (15th frame) it's no advanced color selected. the setting is NONE, right ?... when you export the movie why is still making this effect ? where's the advanced you are talking when it's set to NONE ?

i know that if i select advanced when i'm on 15th frame i can see something's up right there, but why is it still working when it's a NONE ?

that's the bug i was talking about

Yeah that's what confused me, but if you then go to none, access the drop down, go to advanced click settings and you'll see the RGB effects that Fork was talking about. Goto frame 1, do the same and you'll see the RGB effects are different.

Well to me it looks as if first the .fla was "converted" from an .swf to an .fla. Which is why the autonumbering on the graphic is Symbol 231412444. With that being said, what the reconverted .fla has done is it's retained the value of the image transition, which was more than likely the advanced color, while loosing it's actual tween setting in Flash. But that's just my observation.

hmmm that actually make sense because my friend game an swf of a movie and i imported it and he added stuff like alpha but it didn't show

yeah that's a pretty logical guess i'd say simp...

because it's pretty unusual to have .fla's without actually having something to do with it (i.e if you made it yourself, you'd know how to do the effect.).

so plasticFork, how'd you work out which settings to use for the advanced? was it just a bit of trial and error until it looked good? I find the "advanced" settings a bit annoying to use.
