another logo check please

Need some opinions on this logo. It is going to be used for some Nike gear and a online bball community. Let me know what you think. I am actually making some cool desktops for this site also I willbe posting those soon for some critique

actually I am not at liberty to say the name of the ad campaign for fear of a slap from Nike.....but it is aimed at teenagers to young adults in the bball community. BUt the character is a "F"

hey thanks dippy....they wanted something that is kinda ancient symbol yet modern looking. you may see this logo on some shirts and stuff real soon.

Yeah, I was about to say, it looked sort of like the letters from Rune. Except Metal. I like it.

rune scape? i ALMOST played that lol. and 3d, that will be cool for you seeing something you made on a nike shirt!hehe i am looking at the new screen cap from H2, EGM analyzed it and it turns out he has a "Gansta Stance" lol/ and you can peak around corners?!

hey dippy that was the most requested feature for h2....to peak around corners and yes they made him more "****y" (ccoocckkyy is not a bad word) and animated. hence the gangsta stance

That logo looks great since it's blown up, but if it was rescaled down, I doubt you'll see the detail on the bevel.

3D, have you tried to rescale it down so that it would fit on something like a business card or letterhead?

I didn't intend to set you into a little worry-fit thing. It was just a random comment. It doesn't look exactly the same, I just tend to associate things I see with other things I've seen.

...So everything looks like something, to me.

I have a keen eye for that, if you can find it useful! LoL.

I like your character, it's much better than rune's r. You should make the 'Rune in Space' logo, if there ever is such a thing.

It's supposed to be a rocky texture, I'm not sure they pulled it off that well.

(And most of you might not be able to see the similarity, I guess. My comparison was made between the F and this sort of logo, which I hadn't seen for about a year.)


Edit: Another one I found. Different color and shape. I can't even tell which one I was remembering.

yes and you are right you do lose some of the detail. but for that purpose I have a flat vector rendition. Good thing it will not be used for cards. I can get it down to about 150px before it starts to lose quality....then I can play with the segments in max for that. This particular one was not done in max.

You did sne dme into a fit sometimes I create something but sub conciously I was basing it on something I seen b4. But that is what I come here for keen eyes like your....thanks a bunch....keeps the lawsuits off me.
