Yes, this is my 9th try of my friends and mine little webdesign company page.
No I didn't post all of the projects here, but this is the latest one, and Im pretty sure that I'm sticking with it.

The current one that Im hopeing to finally finish!
This was the previous one if you're interested:

I mainly dropped this project because the flower was supposed to be the key elemnet of the site. And as you can see now it the growth effect looks like crap. Sadly I don't know Swish or 3DS Max :/.
I didn't wanted to post the current site before completion, but a recent event kinda made me. Mainly, my friend told me that we could sign a contract with some firm, that is willing to pay $3-4 grand per full website (before I got like ~$100 for a full flash site or a graphic design). BUT, in order to see what we are able to do, we need a portfolio site - this one - by freaking monday!
Anyway, I need some opinions, suggestions - the works if possible :).

Hmm the old one doesnt look too bad, colour wise, in my opinion. Now to the new one. Its pretty kool, but its missing something. Well the obvious, content, but its also missing the drive that'll sell you. Well thats what I think at least <.<. Nice little icons, good work.

yeah i rekon the grow looks cool. i like the flower too, there is really nothing grabbing in the newest one. and i don't know what the battery is supposed to be doing... but overall it looks cool. maybe incorporate the new nav into the flower design?

the old one was a bit snazzier. well, maybe i'm not fair to judge because i refuse to look at your new site b/c it contains a window resize script.

I too like the old one, the grow effect is cool and i like that alot, i personally would scrap the new one it looks cold and lifeless where as the flower one has something extra and is quite different.

actually the old one is a lot better in my opinion - growth effect looked just fine - i would give it some content, and make the menu a little bit more intuitive ( i shouldnt have to click something to display the menu )

The new one is aight but its a bit buggy. Like why does it just keep saying portfolio loaded without showing the portfolio, and whats with the battery and why don't you have that checkered background go across the whole browser window and whats that wierd red button thing that pops up when you click on a new section. I like the splash and colors and style of the site and the heading up top. Good luck tomorrow!

Your server must be really slow coz I'm on 2mbit connection and it was loading like 1 kb/s and I just cut off......all other weeb sites are downloading normal speed so it must be your server/host.

and whats that wierd red button thing that pops up when you click on a new section.a stop watch. it's a unique preloader instead of a standard one.
I think all the bugs are in your brain ;)
I think the design looks good. And it'll be nice to see the whole thing developed. I really like the stopwatch, very unique.
I don't really get the battery either, makes me think of a laptop, but the rest of the site doesn't resemble anything laptopish. It looks nice though... doesn't flow w/ the "theme" IMO.
I personally liked the previous version better... but to each their own :D :thumb2:

You don't get the stop watch, cause I didn't finish it yet :) The idea was that, the battery would drain slowly, depending on how many times you click a menu item, or use a sound, it would drain it. If it would get to 0%, there would be a shutdown animation of some sort. I dunno it was just an idea.
And speaking of the projects, I decided to work on the first one. I've updated the flower animation a bit, but I still have too little time to work with compression, and details.

I'm a little worried cause I have to do the sub pages, mayby rethink the menu by tomorrow morning, and it's 21:00 here where I live. Damn, I won't make it :/

one suggestion, splashes shouldn't be flash. all your non-flash users are going to get stuck with an empty white box. just slap a jpg there.
another suggestion..
maybe speed up the fps?

I have a grey box at the bottom of my screen at 1600x1200. Just change the background ;)
