Ok.
I've got a client who currently uses a web based service to list a catalog of items for him (on a webpage belonging to the service, not myself or my client). He would like to include this list on a page on his own site.
Not a problem, right. Put the URL in an iFrame, and woopdeedoo.
Well, the issue arises when a user clicks on an item in the list, and the iframes source location changes to display details about the item. If a user tries to bookmark this detailed page, and then goes back to the bookmark later, depending on the browser they are using, the bookmark will either take them back to the detailed page (if they are using newer versions of IE), or the page with the iframe at it's original source.
Does anyone know a good workaround for this issue (preferably one that is standards compliant) so that they will always be taken back to the bookmarked, detailed page?
thanks,
-adam
