I posted this before, but now I have the rollovers working. What do ya think?

Not too bad...

What would be really cool is if you had pieces of paper all crumpled up and then when you roll over them, they uncrumple with the link ;)

i think this menu's difficult to read. i think it's a combination of the overal white outer background and the crammed spacing in each menu option. my guess is that the jittery menu animation is intentional, but to the average user it may look like the computer's not working correctly.

That's true...it may be a little bit harder to navigate...but possibly have it so the user knows that the paper is the navigation somehow...like having them bounce in from the border and identify them as navigation in some cool way....just a thought...not sure that it will work though ;)

not bad, but you can just roll your mouse straight across and hit every button... not a bad concept at all.

I'd rather see it without the shaking when the buttons go up...but the look of the nav works well!

I still think those cuts down each side (on the black main bit) look too fabricated.

Also for the menu why not just use an image??? the effects on the nav aren't that great, dunno if you are going for the simple style thing but I think from a usability point of view I'd strip it out and replace with HTML.

I agree with this statement about using HTML for the nav. I wouldn't use Flash just for the sake of using Flash unless you're going to do something really interactive with it.

maybe add some easing or don't use effects at all.. ?
it seems very jumpy... maybe have the buttons jump out and get bigger instead of just jump up?
