So here's my attempt at these awesome atmospheric-starfield pictures I always admired.

btw... no photoshop involved! Only The Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) (freeware)

Is it perhaps a close-up of a really really bright star that we're looking at?

wow... really nice work there. didnt know about that program but it looks like it can produce some nice things.

thats very nice looking Syko :) some things I noticed was that the green seemed to be a little too much used but apart from that it looks 'dreamy' lol :)

gimp is good...its just not as good as what most use on here :)

I enhanced it a bit...
put a foggy effect on the sky and a reflection on the water.. but still the same pic :smirk:

Syko...do you happen to watch Law & Order: SVU? On last nights episode, there was a graffiti artist and he went by the alias "Syko"...

No I don't know Law&Order... :to:
but I saw an episode of Married With Children where Al spelt psycho-dad as Syko-dad :P

Looks good but the star clusters of green and orange, if you unfocus your eyes, look a lot like rock textures :)
