I like it. My only criticism would be that the text is quite hard to read. Black on dark gray doesn't work very well. Maybe use a really light gray.

I would also somehow join the three boxes together so they don't look so seperated, I think they need to look like a more cohesive unit rather than 3 seperate boxes.

But overall, it's very clean looking and I like it.

Thanks for the comments, as for the text its pretty easy to read and I dont think its dark at all, ill also do some tests on some other monitors as well to make sure its not my lcd.

Also as for joining the 3 boxes, I dont think it needs to be done as the top box is defined with the blue colouring, where as the content boxes are defined by the grey, therefore being linkes via colouring.

Its still a very early concept stage, but thanks for the comments :thumb:

Okay...well as a professional design that has been in this business for years...the boxes look incredibly seperated. They just look like 3 banners. It doesn't really even look like a website. And on my screen, a normal screen, not LCD, the text it hard to read. But those are just my humble opinions and you can take them or leave them...apparently you've choosen the latter. Good luck.

Yep, it doesnt even look like a website, Im agreeing with Slinkyart, Also i think the text is hard to read! Make something in the backrground link the two content boxes or do that in the foreground

Cant you think of your own comments?

@Slinky: I'll lighten up the text a little (Just for you  ), and as for linking the boxes, any ideas? I dont really want to put something ugly like a chain in there lol...

I'd say join the content boxes and seperate them with a white line like the border one, but don't have space between the boxes :)

Ahhhhh...that honestly looks so much better! I really love it now. It's got a really clean, crisp look to it and it just really looked too seperated when there were three seperate boxes. But with the top box and then the two gray boxes joined, it makes it so much more cohesive but it still have the feel of the first one you had. It looks fantastic!

cheers.

Wow, thanks for the comments, There is still a long way to go before the actual site design is a 100% finished, this is just the start, its also going to have some parts done in flash so hopefully they will look neat, more comments welcome...

Wow, like it a lot too, except I think that grey color for the content boxes is still a bit dark and to me it looks likes a gradient that goes from red to grey? Maybe only my moniter... But, I like the new version, very good

I dont' see the "red to gray" gradient...it must be the monitor.

Personally, Nirfmo, I really like the darkness of the gray in the background, it gives good depth. ;)

i suggest you put in more contrast between the text and the background - it's kinda alright with most people but those with vision probs may have a tough time. and i guess that the prob is not with the monitors but the gradient itself. it has colors that don't display properly @ 16bit color .
these are my humble opinions n i hope you consider them

i dig the concept, but i'm just not feeling it. the top box seems really cool, but the ones below it don't really do anything for me. nothing really stands out. again, i do dig the concept, man.. keep up the good work.

I still really like it ;) I think once you get the content in there, the site will really start to pop! The image we're seeing is just kind of empty right now so that might play some tricks with our eyes! I look forward to seeing the development of this site :thumb:
