Hey guys I made some changes to my band's website http://www.johnnydeformed.com since the last time I posted here. Most of them were underlying (reducing file size, adding preloaders, etc). Just wondering what you guys think ... any criticism/praise/slandering is welcome!

hmmm, that wasn't bad. In fact, I kinda liked it. One thing though, the font is a little hard to read... you know, the crazy-style font. Other than that it's looking good!
I'll tell you what I think of the mp3 a little later. ;)

i like the layout, it's good. can't comment on the header though - it wouldn't load from school.

I enjoyed rolling over the links to see what came up, but other than that, you might think about smoothing things out a bit so that everything seems clear and easy to read/visualize. Other than that, I think it does what it is supposed to do. Nice job.

Yea I have to experiment in flash with with the links ... I really like that font so I gotta see if I can do something with it.
icio: are you on dialup or anything? just curious as to why it wouldn't load ...

It's creative, and unlike many sites, I had fun looking at things. A couple suggestions:
1) Change the font used in the menu. It looks great in the logo, but it's hard to read up there. It's kind of faded out, and a little too squished horizontally that people might have trouble with it.
2) For the picture of the band, and even on the menu popups, you're on the right track with making it all appear stylized. I think you might want to try to make them look a little crisper and possible a little sketchy or vectorized. I think that would make it balance better with the logo. Consistency is key.

Yea I never thought about it actually being consistent ... we just started using the skull a bit as a logo and I tossed it up there. Good idea though!
I'll be implementing some of the changes this weekend ... I'll post when I'm done.
