DHTML Menus and FLASH

I have a problem, hoping to find some help, so here goes:
1. I created a site with a DHTML dropdown menu system.
2. I created a nice little flash animation to put on that site.
3. I test the site, and when my DHTML menu drops down,
it 'hides' behind the flash animation.

Does anybody know how to make sure the animation is behind the DHTML menu?

Put both the DHTML menu and the Flash animation on Layers.
And make sure the Z-level of the animation layer is smaller than the z-level of the DHTML menu.
