Nope, I did it with a mouse. I first make a simple sketch on paper, then I scan it to illustrator and then make the vector cartoon in illustrator.

nice work. i think there's a little too much going on in the face area though, particularly around the eyes. it's not too much of a problem in 1,3,4,5; but in 2, it's problematic because the action is drawn toward the face, making it sort of overwhelming and difficult to look at.

Do you mean there is to much details in the face? That will explain a lot but i was thinking that it was rather simple (instead of much detailed).

I dont think a wacom will help you much with vectors. Anyway nice toons man. I am into toons myself, may want to look into toonboom if you ever want to animate these puppies.

^ that kinda attitude won't make you any friends here... you'll find a lot of people are more than willing to help you with real questions and stuff, but if you don't search first (google and the forums) you might not get much lovin.
really nice toons mitch, it'd be so sweet to see them animated, better than those 'professional' smileys and stuff...

@darktacti; your attitude was fine, don't worry bout it.
Youre right, Kirupa is the next best thing; if we palmed off all questions pertaining to best places to buy things, opinions etc to google, then we pretty soon wouldn't have a forum... simple...

I am going to animate this (already begon) but I am not making any big animations, just the simple wink and talk animations. I will use it somewhere for and dont want to make it to caotic...
If I 'm ready with my project I will show it on kirupa offcourse
