Is it just me or does the example take an absolute age to download on a 56k dial-up? I appreciate that I've since uninstalled FP8 but even so, an all-singing, all-dancing detection routine as described in the article should still be able to detect that I've got version 7, right?

But it's been 5 minutes now and it's still only at 28% loaded. If it really does take this long to load before anyone even gets to your site, then I don't think it's really that effective for anyone with an earlier version of the player.
