Photoshop crop tool

Is there a way to set the crop tool in PS 7 back to default? I have a co-worker whos crop tool went crazy...

not sure about how it went "crazy" - but I usually press the clear button if the porportions on the crop tool mess up.

It seems as if you are holding the "Shift" key when dragging....
The manual drag seems to be wacked out...

I usually erase the fields by hands, I feel like an idiot because the 'clear' button was here all the time. Darn.
