hey ppl

i am using C4D.

does anyone know how to create 3d logos like the ones here http://www.pixellogo.com/logo-design-logofx.html

I am interested in the red and orange one in the top row. and also where can i find those smooth, shiny, metalic materials? is there an easy way to make them

Thanks

well if u want a 3D logo and u dont have complete command over C4D .. u can always turn back to Illustrator .. CS2 has some really nice options for 3D logos

looks simple enough, i use maya but theory should be the same.

make a logo in illustrator, import the path into you 3d app:
extrude the ai path either by bevelplus(maya) or make it a polygon object
put your shaders on
rotate in the y axis about 40 degrees
render

ay! i know wot you mean tried the "bevel" thing on C4D, comes close, just need to get the right materials and lighting also to really make it shine!
