is there anyway in which one can load fields containing text from an excel file into Flash text fields

not that i know of, but you might be able to do that with php somehow.. see this link

thanks for the quick reply but my problem is that i don't want to communicate with the file containing the text online but instead i am aiming to use flash to load the text fields on a CD application. That is why i am not approaching ASP, PHP or any language that needs a web server. So if you know a way to load FLASH text fields offline from ACCESS, EXCEL, NOTEPAD, WORD or any other format offline. PLEASE HELP

adham_a, Welcome to Kirupa! Allow me to acquaint you with some of our options here. First of all, we have loverly forums (yay) and boast a wide array of smilies to use in your post =).
