I always used to us4e the save for web feature in Photoshop (7) After I've had to re-install it after some computer problems, I don't have the option any more. It's on the menu, but "greyed out" Any ideas on why this is or how I can get it back?

Have you tried to see if the file you are trying to export to "Save for web" is RGB format ? not bitmap / cmyk - thats the only thing i can think of / have had trouble with in the past..

Nope, all the ones I've tried are RGB. :(

Have you tried com[pletey uninstalling pshop, and then reinstall ? -- also maybe check adobe.com for help on this.

Sounds like your app is corrupted, files / mods are missing? -- I hope you are using a legal version of pshop - if so Adobe are more than capable of giving support on this.

Hope that helps. Pix

I might try that, but this only happened after I reinstalled. Also, it's not like it crashes when I try to do it or anything, it's just not availabe.

you should still be able to access the save for web even with cmyk color mode and any type of file format... the only thing i can think of atm is that your some how gone into mask or channel mode each time you try to save for web and is why the option is greyed out.

try going to your channels pallette and clicking on your first layer (cmyk or rgb) then ctl-alt-shift-s (save for web) or try to activate it via the menu..

still having issues, contact adobe or give some details of what you already tried. :)
