Marching ants dissappeared ? -> CS2

Hey, i'm having some issues with the new Photoshop CS2... for some reason i cannot select anything with this shortcut: "holding down ctrl and clicking on the layer name" <- that used to select everything in the layer but now it does nothing... any ideas ?

click on the 'square' preview part of your layer using the same keyboard shortcut. ;)

I totall agree, auto select groups and click on a object is the bomb.....
