Hello guys.

My uncle is currently wanting to start his own company and he's asked me to design him a logo...
Now I wasn't to bothered about this 'but' I am really stuck for ideas..
His company is going to be a film company it will be called 'Smart Dragon Films' he's told me that the logo will need to obviously be a dragon.

The dragon must have:
A tounge.
Spikes on it's back. (You don't have to include this although it may look good)
An eye.

Colours:
The dragon has to be a dark green.
The tounge and eyes have to be a red colour

I am not able to reward anyone with anything at the moment but I'll try and sort something out when my uncle starts up the company.

The deadline that all entries must be in by is:
August 12th, 2005. (A week from now.)

Thank you,
Danny Keane.

I think this free work stuff is running a little rampant. Its basically becoming an epidemic here. I mean I am sure your uncle can offer up like 20 bucks or something. I mean he is starting this business in the hopes of making money correct? I think that is highly unfair for you to come here and do this. Or at least have your uncle come here and sign up and ask. I can understand if you were starting your own studio or it was a non-profit type/hobby type of deal. But I am assuming your uncle is an adult, and I am sure he would not send you to the supermarket and ask for free food, because he is starting his own business.

I am going to leave this here, but I hope your conscious gets to you and you realize that this is highly unfair to some of younger and more naive members.

Yes DDD I do understand, but all he's told me that he want's a logo designed and that it's for a film company. That's why I added I maybe able to get my uncle to sort something out.
I.e. A reward of some kind.
Because he didn't say anything to me about getting paied or what ever as it maybe because I family but I'm not sure, this is what he's said and I can only go from his word.

I restored this thread as to give folks an idea of what you should not place in free/barter. I dont think this person needs the work done anymore so I closed the thread.

But if you stand to gain monetarily from the work I think it is only fair to offer up some compensation of some sort. This is not prohobiting this type of post, but just be mindful that we are all trying to make it in the biz.
