It's called Free Ram XP and what it does it monitors where your ram is being used and let's you try and free up some ram at any time if you find your programs are running slowly. Very good if you are working with many programs and you dont want to have to restart. Have a look

Free programs are usually Trojan Horses... Ask yourself why they are willing to give you free software, and the only logical answer is that they get someting in return...

Im only speculating, though, as i have never heard, seen or used this program.

BTW? how do you know if it is or isn't? Not all trojan horses crash your computer. Your e-mail could be harvested by the program, and you would not know the difference. Why don't you download it, and tell me whether or not it is?

Well I have a trojan checker or sorts and it hasnt found anything wrong with it. Also, my buddy has used it for a few months and never had a problem. It's actually a great program. If you computer is running low on ram - just optimize it with this tool and things will speed up, it frees all your unused ram in other places.

Maj - I can totally see your point man, some of that free ware crap is just that - crap. I have learnt my lesson :) That's why I let my buddy test it first ;)

Someone told me about this recently, I've had it it for like a month maybe two, maybe more... I just recently decided to check the forum to see if anyone had anything to say about it. I agree with what was said, and am glad it wasn't anything bad I didn't know about! get what I mean... wow it made not a lot of sense...

If you have Windows Xp - press ctrl+alt+delete, then select task manager if it doesn't come up automatically, then select processes, this also monitors each programs memory useage and the overall system memory useage, even has a cpu monitor on the performance tab...and a network performance monitor...

so you really don't need this free program.

I think the program is supposed to 'optimize' your ram usage, probably just defrag's it (I think that's the correct term), but I do just use the task manager, never used this app but am thinking about giving it a try

ya prstudio - it's used to optimize your ram. It's really a good program to use if you are always switching between programs. It's a lot like a re-start, it just frees up all your ram that is not in use.
