Foundation Actionscript by friends of Ed is amazing I think.. that's what im using.. I think its pretty easy to follow.. i dunno if they are still selling it tho, they went out of business.

I love the friends of ED books, I think I'd go for the
"ActionScript Reference" (1100 pages!! + CD), but for any of their books, be real fast coz they went out of business and you'll likely find the books only a few more weeks!
A very good one is also
"Falsh MX Actionscripting" from Macromedia Press, lots of good examples..I think I'd even recommend this one more than the other..
