Hey people,

My mate and I were discussing whether work that has been created but hasn't been chosen by the client to be used should go in a portfolio or just scrapped. like say you do a series of a few differenjt designs and none were used would you put them in your portfolio. My opinion was that if they haven't been used there is no proof that they are what they say unless It can be proven that there bieng used by somebody.

Anyway
Id just like your thoughs on this

I've seen some portfolios where unused work or deprecated layouts were put in separate portfolio sections. And i've seen a lot of portfolios with personal sketches or like deviant artwork.

Personally i would just put up your best work and then just mention the rest of your clients. Don't need to overwhelm them with work, just your best stuff. And clients don't want to see your school projects or personal work, real world scenario jobs.
