looks very empty to me, all you did was some pictures and apply some borders and thats it. 1 minute work i could say. I saw some pretty neat 1 minute designs, but this one presents nothing original, new, pretty. Try harder

I like it. It's simple (which is a good thing) - I like this style much better than layouts that have stuff everywhere. and are very complicated. Depending on what the site is for, I might change the pictures for the links. Right know, it's hard for me to critique it. Could you tell us what/who the site is for - or possibly add some content? Currently, it looks great.

i think that all the images dont have a union, doesnt have a concept, i dont know if you get it, but, i love the top image, but not the others 4 from above.

The luminous texture of the top image is good. If you're content is strong the simple layout could work. I would work hard to get some high impact images for the buttons, preferably ones that blend thematically with the banner image.

I'm not too fond of it. The nav text doesn't seem to work, and all the images are very clipartish.

I din't really like any. They seem too dark and it's very plain. I think that you could do better. But if you like it, then go ahead with it, but this is my oppinion.

I think it needs work. I would re-think the design the white border needs to go and i would change the background color to a nicer smoother gradient. One major problem is that i have no idea what this site is for. I can't tell what they do and from the looks of it how they could help me. I get from reading the post that it is a personal site, i would use more color, and get rid of the pictures all together. Try a smaller less bold font for the navigation. Make sure your design fits 779 x 461 and that you use as much of that space as you can. Again use more color.

I would agree with Versus. Those white borders are very overpowering and they make your photography secondary to them which is not a very good thing. You should try using a 1pixel stroke, with liek 10-20% opacity and see which one you like better.

Thick strokes work well, but I dont feel it does for the color scheme and photos that you have selected. Otherwise, nice work, and keep it up. :)

I don't like it. It's simple, but it doesn't grab my attention. The images don't seem to belong with each other either.

all looks too "blocky" to me, if you are going to use photoshop and export as slices etc you may as well use it to your advantage e.g. the layout you gave could be css....why not add some more colors and creativity to it to warrant the use of photoshop????

I agree. Also it's not showing what you can really do. We all know you can do better. :)
