IE and Netscape

I have a site
It's running on 50 frame per sec

when I opend it in IE It runned at a slower frame rate
but in NEtscape it runned smoothly

WHY?

IE might be badly programmed? Is that with IE6?

NS runs the FPS different that IE I believe.

I forget where I saw it, but I believe NS rounds your FPS up or down to a certain number depending on what your FPS is, so this could cause it to run smoother if it rounded it up.



Or maybe that was macs and not NS.... hmmm.

That's MACs you're thinking about beta ;)

IE has alot more substance than NS.. Therefore it'll run a tad bit slower on some machines.

Hey morse: When you load a movie into the a main movie, the loaded movie takes on the FPS of the main movie. So if your main movie is 30fps, then the movie you load in is going to be 30 fps as well ;)

And the higher the FPS the more processor intensive your movie is because it has to work quicker.

Well you obviously didn't notice the difference in performance, so whats it matter ;) ;)

When you go beyond 30 fps the only difference you'll ever see is in graphically intensified situations.. Like videos or video games..

On a normla website.. You shouldn't need 50+ fps... That's just asking for someone's processor to boggle down. :)

IE doesn't suck... It just has more features.. My IE actual is faster than NS though... But I use Avant Browser instead of just IE.. Soo... hehehe..

I just dont like people jumping to assumptions such as yours. There are people here that will xml you to death, php you to another world and 3d you to places youve never dreamed. What I'm saying is that there are a wide range of talents here, from flash to DHTML, PHP, XML, NT, CGI, C++, HTML, JAVA and I can go on. Saying something as you did cuts down the diverse talent here to only flash.... sounding like: why would any of "those" flashers care about anything to do with SS coding. I feel it was an insult to members that are among the group I mentioned.
