So two months ago I posted my card idea and due to timing it didn't go to print. However, it will be going to print in about 1wk so I thought I'd put it up for some comments and general feedback... check out the "first version" post here: http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95801.

The pink IS NOT a color that will be on the card it's a visual representation of where the blind UV coating will go. The blue is not a good representation of the color that will be printed... since it's a CMYK color the web doesn't display CMYK, but the pantone for those interested is 2935 CVC. And no need to comment on the text as it doesn't display on screen crisp... but I assure you it prints as smooth as a baby's butt.

I have another version this time around too... which is vertical AND horizontal. Which I will more than likely going to print with.

vertical looks very nice :) actually i was going to do opposite round corners or top 2 corners on my business cards also.. where do you get these printed ? uv coating and diecut must be very expensive.. what does blind uv mean ?

Ok... what a blind UV is is you put a the UV on the base color, which is a blind UV since there is actually nothing there. And what UV is, is like a thick glossy tack, you see it on some catalogs to help increase the shine and make things feel "rubbery".

As for the diecut and UV... it is generally really expexensive... but I've worked something out w/ my printer to where I'm paying a big fat donuthole for this ;) It's great you you're able to build a relationship w/ your vendors :D and clients.

thanks for hanging up that was on my minutes!!! I really like how well you thought out your business cards. I love the vertical ones, so when is the web page going to be done????? Great job man. oh please answer the phone.....

:lol: alright so... I guess the website is still in question :lol: so let me answer that. The site MAY be up w/ the time release of my cards. I will (I as in my developer... my concept his coding skillz) be working on a new text transition in the next coming wk for dynamic text that in theory will be extremely tight, but may be difficult to pull off... we'll see. But aside from that the bulk of my site is ready and good to go :) so we'll have to see what happens :D



How is the site coming, although I know you are on FB right now.LoL... FB is always a challenge but hopefully that site will be up and running shortly too :)

man, those cards are painfully good. I wish i had the money for something like that.
