I would like to get some feed back on a site that i'm building for a Jewish summer camp. Please note:

Slides 4 and 5 are just new colors(5) and the logo is gone on the bottom where it says "where great...."(4) I was just given the client another option. The colors had to be Red, Orange and their Blue. This will be content managed by the client. The design had to simple and clean and done in less then 8 hrs. Also the "camp poyntell..." had to be comic sans.......Are the reds to pinky on a mac??????

Sebus,

Thanks for the feed back, In their specs they wanted Red to dominate and be a majority.

although when a client tells me they like something, that i think is crap, i show them another design or two, to sway them from the crap..

well then thats kind of hard to work with, i would say green for summer/camp. maybe go from an abstract header to a stylized nature scene, like a landscape where you could do a monotone in red hues.

if you're going to use such a strong red, find a good color to go with it because the sandy yellow and blues do not.

I tried by giving them different colors themes, but there stuck on their colors.

Do they have to be stuck to like 8 different colors? The site reminds me of Fandango and movies. Don't like the logo font treatment. Also don't like the white border separating everything. The links for directions and the other two look out of place. I like the overall site though.

The logo and Font can't be changed I tried and tried to change their minds. I had to use the white border because they saw another site that had it. If you notice there is no border to the left due to the navigation system that is used, so no site can be centered under the current nav system that the company uses. What would you recommend for colors????? Keep in mind that they need to be warm colors and blues...

Thanks

guinness,
My first comp for them was green ,with stencils of leafs on the header and footer, but they said no and show us it in red and add blue w/ yellow with out the leafs. Its really hard to tell them your design input. But they pay so I say OK.....

I think it looks good. If they like it they like it. Give it to them then. Even though the customer is always wrong :)

looks good, nice and simple, easy to use and good images

You've even got an element of fun in there too. My impression looking at the site is it look's a fun place which is obviously what the client wants to get across. Sometimes this can be the hardest part, getting the message across.....

Good job :thumb:

I'm not sure about that greenish/brownish color in the background, but other than that, everything seems to be appropriate.
